According to Mr Holger Davin, director of FACHMETALL GmbH: “For the first time, this year’s Fachmetall PM Qualification Award was given to a company with a main focus outside the metals sector. X-PORE BV in Helmond, The Netherlands, develops porous ceramic membranes for water treatment and other technical applications. Recently, a new development has been started that aims at combining porous metal filters with a ceramic membrane surface structure.”
